Plakiotis stands on Dionysiou Areopagitou and is one of the most traditional places to eat and enjoy an evening at the foot of the Acropolis.
The Salaounis family, with 45 years of experience in the restaurant trade, created a warm, welcoming taverna in the centre of Athens in 1998.
The kitchen prepares Greek and Mediterranean dishes from carefully chosen ingredients, under the personal supervision of owner Chr. Salaounis.
In the dining room, gingham tablecloths, wooden chairs and walls covered in photographs give the place the character of a traditional taverna.
The menu offers appetizers, Greek dishes, grills, fish, salads and desserts, along with wines and drinks. The taverna stands next to Acropoli metro station, so it is easy to reach.
